Roel Nizet is a trusted restructuring and turnaround leader with over 30 years of international operational experience in leading complex transformations. Known for his decisive leadership and expertise in consensual solutions to precarious situations, Roel brings exceptional skill in stakeholder management within highly constrained environments.

He has built extensive expertise in hands-on execution of turnaround plans, liquidity management, distressed M&A, and stakeholder management within highly constrained multi-jurisdictional environments.

Before founding NIZET•MANAGEMENT, Roel built an extensive career in industrial and general management. In senior leadership roles, he developed a deep commercial and analytical skillset across the technology and automotive sectors, managing global operations for organizations with revenues up to €2.5 billion. Experienced in Public-to-Private transactions (delisting) by pursuing a corporate squeeze-out procedure (HYM:GR 2013).

Since 2013, Roel has operated as Managing Director of his own firm, specializing in interim management and board-level transformations. He has a strong track record in complex operational and financial turnarounds for private equity and financial institutions, leading restructurings within challenging multi-stakeholder environments.

As an interim specialist, Roel has gained extensive experience in the "hands-on execution" of turnaround plans. Often serving in (statutory) leadership or NED roles, he focuses on liquidity management, business reviews, and operational improvements. His approach balances technical precision with the ability to navigate delicate investor and bank relations.

Roel also advises on large-scale restructurings using cross-border tools, including distressed M&A and multi-jurisdictional negotiations. He has deep experience with the Dutch WHOA and holds several board positions, including at EMK Capital, Iturri and the Belgium Turnaround Association, providing a strong understanding of international restructuring frameworks.
